  • Ceramic Coatings High Desert California | What Does It Cost?

Are you asking yourself how much money you should spend on a ceramic coating or how much do ceramic coatings cost?

I like simple answers, so here are our average ceramic coating prices.

    Sedan: $1200

    Small SUV: $1200–$1500

    Large Vehicles: $1500+

It’s important to keep in mind that these are AVERAGE ceramic coating prices. Like we said, one of our favorite parts of the job is working with customers 1 on 1 to find exactly what works for them.

Now let’s answer the burning question: Why are ceramic coatings so expensive? Well, there are 3 reasons:

First and foremost, ceramic coating application takes TIME. The average coating installation takes about 10 hours. Crazy right?

Automotive ceramic coatings are the hardest, most durable, and most advanced form of paint protection that exists! We’re talking about YEARS of protection, not months!

And finally, in order to install ceramic coatings properly, we put ourselves through some serious training. In fact, we spent about 90 days going through the most reputable paint correction and ceramic coating training there is! Not to mention all of the practice that is followed... So at the end of the day, we are also charging for our expertise, and we think we’re pretty good.

  • What is automotive window film?

Automotive window tint, also known as window film, is crafted from polyester film derived from polyethylene terephthalate (PET). A variety of window tint options are available, featuring tints created with dyes, metals, or pigmentations to diminish glare, fading, and heat. The degree of darkness or lightness for your tint is customizable to suit your preferences.

  • How much does auto window tinting cost?

The price of automotive window tint depends on the type of film you choose, how many windows you decide to cover, and the tint percentage. At Route 66 Tint and Detail LLC, we provide our pricing on a car-by-car basis.

  • Is it worth it to tint your car windows?

It is absolutely worth it to have your windows tinted.  Not only will it block out 99% of harmful UV rays, but automotive window tints can also boost your privacy and protection, keep your car’s interior from fading, and enhance your comfort by reducing excess cabin heat.

  • How long does it take to tint my vehicle windows?

At Route 66 Tint and Detail LLC, our tinting process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to four hours. Full-sized sedans take about one to two hours to install, but if you’re only getting your two front-side windows tinted, it should take about 30 to 40 minutes.

  • Can I tint my own windows?

Although car window tinting kits are available to purchase, we recommend never attempting to do it yourself. Like anything in life, experience leads to exceptional results.

  • What are the laws for tinting auto windows in California?

When selecting the tint shade for your windows, adhering to legal guidelines is crucial. Various states have distinct regulations governing the permissible darkness of car windows. The shade of window film is evaluated based on the percentage of light it allows to pass through, known as visible light transmission (VLT). A lower VLT indicates darker windows. For instance, in California, the law mandates a 70% VLT for front windshields and front side windows.

  • How do I clean my tinted windows?

Wait a couple of days after the application to clean your windows. When you wash your windows, use a soft, clean microfiber cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner. Avoid using any cleaners with a blue hue on your tinted windows! We suggest utilizing green-colored vinegar Windex or citrus-based Windex solutions.
